Stabbing On Virginia Street in Belle Rose, La. - Tuesday, August 19, 2008
ARRESTED: DESHELLE GREENE KING 28YOA, OF 180 CANE BREAK DRIVE, THIBODAUX, LA
Sheriff Mike Waguespack reports that on Tuesday, August 19, 2008, at 7:33AM, the Assumption Parish Sheriff's Office received a 911 call concerning a stabbing at 139 Virginia Street in Belle Rose.
Upon arriving at the residence deputies learned that Kasey Carter 19 was stabbed during an argument with his estranged girlfriend Deshelle Greene King 28yoa. Witness indicated that King fled immediately after the altercation.
Acadian Ambulance Service was called to the scene and determined that Carter had sustained a single stab wound to his chest. Cartier was subsequently airlifted to Our Lady of the Lake Hospital in Baton Rouge for treatment.
At approximately 9:00AM, King arrived at the APSO Detention Center and requested to speak with investigators concerning the incident. King was subsequently arrested for Aggravated Battery.
