Sheriff Mike Waguespack reports the following arrests:
On Tuesday, September 30, 2008, deputies responded to a Pierre Part convenience store concerning a disturbance in the parking lot.
Upon arrival deputies learned that the parties involved had already left the store.
Witness reported that one of the men involved fired two rounds from a shotgun as they drove away in a white pickup truck.
Shortly thereafter, deputies located the suspects' truck parked at a residence on Reno Street in Pierre Part.
At this time deputies identified the driver as Dustin Coupel 24 and the passenger as Nelson Metrejean 25.
When questioned about the incident, the men indicated the disturbance started because the driver of the other vehicle pulled out in front of them almost causing an accident.
Both men were charged with Disturbing the Peace for the incident at the store.
Metrejean was booked with an additional charge of Illegal Use on a Firearm for discharging the shotgun.
On Tuesday, September 30, 2008, deputies responded to Sandy's Bar in Bayou Lourse concerning a fight in the parking lot.
Upon arrival they discovered a male patron who had sustained severe injuries to his face during an altercation with a female patron.
The female who was identified as, thirty-eight year old Lois Harman of 116 Jamie Court, Morgan City, admitted to attacking the man after he made lewd comments to her in the bar.
The male patron, forty-nine year old Kenneth Gregory, was transported by Acadian Ambulance Service to Tech Regional Hospital in Morgan City.
Harman was transported to the Assumption Parish Detention Center where she was booked for Second Degree Battery and an outstanding bench warrant.
On Wednesday, October 1, 2008, APSO Detectives arrested a forty-two year old Labadieville woman for having sex with a fourteen year old boy.
The woman, Paulette McBride of 117 Violet Street, was charged with one count of Molestation of a Juvenile in connection with the investigation.
She was also booked for outstanding warrants for failing to appear on Issuing Worthless Checks and Simple Battery charges.
McBride remains in custody awaiting a bond hearing.
