Attempted Sexual Assault In Bayou L'Ourse - Tuesday, June 9, 2009
Sheriff Mike Waguespack reports that on Monday, June 8, 2009, at approximately 3:10PM, the Sheriff's Office received a 911 call from a female who resides in the 100 block of Aristile Road in Bayou L'ourse. The woman was extremely upset and the operator was unable to determine the nature of the call.

Upon arrival at the residence deputies contacted the twenty-five year old woman who reported that a male subject had just forced his way into her apartment and attempted to sexually assault her. During the attack the woman's one year old son was thrown to the floor by the suspect. She was eventually able to break away from the man and ran outside and summoned help from two men who were driving on the road in front of her residence.

The two men chased the woman's attacker as he sped away in an older model, tan, four door car that appeared to be a Toyota Corolla. The men lost sight of the suspect as he fled toward Gibson on Hwy 662.

The victim described her attacker as a white male, 30 to 40 years of age, with tanned skin and short brown hair. The man appeared to have not shaven in a couple of days. He was dressed in a white tee shirt, khaki shorts, and was wearing a red baseball cap and sunglasses.

Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to contact the Sheriff's Office at 985-369-2912 or the Criminal Investigation Division at 985-526-1627.
