REQUEST FOR PUBLICíS ASSISTANCE IDENTIFYING BURGLARY SUSPECTS - Wednesday, September 2, 2009
Sheriff Mike Waguespack reports that on Tuesday, August 25, 2009, at approximately 5:20PM, Deputies were called to the 100 block of College Point in Plattenville concerning a residential burglary. Upon contacting the victim she reported that various electronic equipment and a large amount of cash was taken from her home sometime that day. The victim indicated that the missing cash was to be used to purchase a new home later that week.

Upon entering the residence deputies discovered a large amount of blood at and around a window that the perpetrator shattered while gaining entry. Witness reported seeing four black males in a small red or burgundy car fleeing from the residence.

The evidence on the scene indicates that one of more of the suspects sustained a serious laceration to their hand or arm while gaining entry to the residence. If anyone noticed someone with a bandaged hand or arm around the date of this incident they are asked to contact the Criminal Investigation Division at 985-526-1627 or the Communications Division at 985-369-2912.

A $500 reward is being offered for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for this offense.
