Thibodaux man shot in Labadieville - Thursday, April 1, 2010
On Thursday, April 1, 2010, at approximately 1:41AM, APSO Dispatchers received a 911 call concerning someone shooting a gun near the intersection of Hwy 1014 and Hwy 308 in Labadieville. Upon arrival deputies began searching for the source of the gunfire.

At approximately 2:18AM, Dispatchers received a call from a representative of Thibodaux Regional Medical Center concerning a shooting victim who recently arrived at the Emergency Room. The victim was identified as Conroy Moore, 32 years of age, of 411 Back Street in Thibodaux. Moore was being treated for a gunshot wound to his head.

The preliminary investigation into this incident revealed that Moore had just left JR's Bar on Hwy 1014 and was riding home with a friend. Upon reaching the stop sign at Hwy 308, an unknown assailant fired approximately three shots at the vehicle Moore was riding in.

One of the bullets entered the rear window of the vehicle and struck Moore who was seated in the front passenger seat. The driver immediately drove Moore to the TRMC ER for treatment.

Moore was subsequently transferred to University Hospital in New Orleans for additional treatment and is in stable condition.
