On December 5th, the Assumption Parish Sheriff's Office received a 911 call from a female subject while traveling on Highway 69 in her vehicle stating that her ex-boyfriend was trying to run her vehicle off the roadway. The female subject's male friend was driving and was able to turn the vehicle around to return to Pierre Part but the ex-boyfriend caught up with the vehicle and began bumping it with his vehicle. After several more bumps to the vehicle, the car exited the roadway and hit a culvert causing the vehicle to wreck. The ex-boyfriend, Tal Gaudet, 21years of age of 111 A Reno Street, Pierre Part, Louisiana then stopped his vehicle and began to aggressively run towards their wrecked vehicle. The male driver in an effort to defend himself picked up a knife in their vehicle and exited out of the wrecked car. As Gaudet continued to aggressively approach the male driver, he extended the knife in front of him and pushed the knife in his mid section and ran to a nearby residence yelling for help.
Tal Gaudet was arrested today after his release from the hospital and was charged with 2 counts of Attempted Second Degree Murder. His Bond has been set at $100,000.00 and he is still incarcerated as of the time of this release.
