On December 1, 2010, Assumption Parish Sheriff's Office received a complaint in reference to a burglary of a residence on Dino Extension Street in Pierre Part. The suspect entered into the residence using the attic drop-down door which is located under the carport and then busted through the kitchen ceiling. The owner of the residence was not home at the time and numerous items were stolen including a rifle, a shotgun, power tools, 2 Cabela gift cards, 2 flat screen televisions, jewelry, etc. There was also damage done to a Chevrolet Tahoe which was parked under the attic door in the carport. Detectives initiated an investigation and began gathering information from various sources that Brad Rohman, age 28, of 101 Coon Road, Pierre Part, Louisiana, had sold or attempted to sell some of the stolen items throughout the Pierre Part Community. One subject interviewed indicated that he was asked by Rohman to assist him with the burglary of the residence and that Rohman later attempted to sell a rifle, shotgun and gift cards to him after the burglary. Rohman also stated to the subject how he accessed the residence through the attic and busted through the ceiling.
Brad Rohman was taken into custody on December 23, 2010, and was charged with Simple Burglary and Criminal Damage to Property over $500. His bond has been set at $35,000 and is remains in custody in the Assumption Parish Detention Center.
