Second Napoleonville Man Arrested for Aggravated Rape of a Mentally Retarded Woman - Monday, January 4, 2010

a second man has been arrested as a result of an investigation previously announced in a News Release dated December 29, 2010. In that case, a case worker with Adult Protective Services contacted Assumption Parish Sheriff's Office in reference to an adult female who may be a possible victim of rape. The case worker indicated that the victim had been hospitalized due to a suicidal condition. Adult Protective Services Report indicated that the victim reported to them that she was being forced to have sex with a member of her household. Adult Protective Services sent a copy of a Psychological Review of the victim noting that she functions in the Moderate Range of Mental Retardation.

Detectives conducted an audiotaped interview with the victim. In that interview, she advised that Jimmy Westerfield, age 47 of 4226 Highway 1 South, Napoleonville, Louisiana, forced her to have sex with him after paying another member of her household, Kenneth Falgoust, money. Falgoust was arrested on December 28, 2010 and was booked with Aggravated Rape and Pandering.

Jimmy Westerfield turned himself in to Assumption Parish Detectives on Monday, January 3, 2011. He has been booked with Aggravated Rape. He has since bonded out after posting a $75,000 bond. Kenneth Falgoust remains incarcerated in the Assumption Parish Detention Center. His bond has $500,000.
