Narcotics agents with Assumption Parish Sheriff's Office received anonymous tips and information from another law enforcement agency concerning a possible meth lab operation at 243 North Bay Road in Pierre Part. Agents arrived at the residence and made contact with a male subject and received permission to search the residence. Agents discovered the pre-cursors of a meth lab operation found in the attic of the residence. The resident, Johnathan Metrejean, was then detained and while he was being searched, agents found prescription pills and drug paraphernalia in his possession.
Agents with Assumption Parish made contact with Louisiana State Police who then contacted Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality and U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency to assist us with the closure, clean up and disposal of the Hazardous Materials found in the Lab. The clean up of the attic was completed late yesterday afternoon.
Johnathon Metrejean, age 22 of 243 North Bay Road, Pierre Part was arrested on Wednesday, February 16, 2011 and charged with operation or creation of a clandestine laboratory, possession with intent to distribute schedule II (oxycodone), possession with intent to distribute schedule III (hydrocodone), possesson with intent to distribute schedule IV (xanax) and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is being held in the Assumption Parish Detention Center and bond has not been set as of the time of this release.
