On Saturday Night, February 19, 2011, deputies were dispatched to the 2700 Block of Highway 308 in Labadieville after 911 callers advised of a large crowd of males and females fighting in the highway blocking traffic. Shortly thereafter we received a call reporting shots being fired in the area of Popcorn Lane near the Fiesta Lounge. Investigators dispatched to the scene determined that there was several family and friends at a party being hosted a residence located at 2729 Highway 308 (located on the bayou side of Highway 308) and that some of the guests had an earlier verbal altercation with some residents who reside on Popcorn Lane across from the residence. This altercation escalated later into a fistic encounter amongst several individuals and then led to an exchange of gun fire. Three individuals who were located on the Popcorn Lane side of Highway 308 were injured during this altercation. One female and one male subject were shot in the leg. The third injured party was hit in the leg with a broken bottle. All subjects were treated and released from local hospitals. This incident did not involve any patrons or management of the Fiesta Lounge. This Lounge happens to border Popcorn Lane where part of the altercation took place. Investigators interviewed several potential witnesses and determined that a subject named Aaron "Tboo” Williams, Jr., age 24, of 1011 N Paul Frederick, Luling, Louisiana was one of the responsible shooters. He later confessed to Detectives his involvement in the altercation which included discharging of a handgun.
Aaron "Tboo” Williams, Jr. was booked into the Assumption Detention Center on February 20, 2011, and charged with 2 Counts of Aggravated Battery. He is still being held on a $50,000 Bond.
