Search Warrant Yields Drugs and "Shake and Bake" Meth Lab Items - Friday, May 13, 2011

Narcotics agents with Assumption Parish Sheriff's Office and Louisiana State Police Narcotics Agents executed a search warrant at 104 St. Ann Street in Pierre Part on Thursday afternoon. Agents discovered the pre-cursors of a meth lab operation known as a "shake and bake lab” throughout the residence. Also located during the search were illegal narcotics (marijuana, crystal meth, valium, and steroids) along with an assortment of drug paraphernalia.

Kevin Pintado, age 33 of 104 St. Ann Street, Pierre Part was arrested and charged with operation or creation of a clandestine laboratory, possession with intent to distribute crystal meth, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Steve A. Williams, age 34 of 104 St. Ann Street, Pierre Part was also arrested and charged with Possession of Schedule I controlled dangerous substances (marijuana), possession of schedule II controlled dangerous substances (crystal meth), possession of schedule III controlled dangerous substances (steroids), possession of schedule IV controlled dangerous substances (valium), operation or creation of a clandestine laboratory and possession of drug paraphernalia. Williams is currently on probation for a prior drug conviction. Louisiana Department of Public Safety and Corrections (Probation and Parole Division) has placed a "hold without bail” detainer on him. Both are being held in the Assumption Parish Detention Center and bonds have not been set as of the time of this release.
