The Assumption Parish Sheriff's Office received a call concerning a complaint of gun shots fired at the address of 3023 Highway 1, Labadieville. Upon arrival, deputies made contact with a 23 year old victim from Morgan City who said that he along with his girlfriend and sister had come to that location to retrieve a vehicle. An argument began after Matilda Q. Amos, age 18, of 142 Pond Drive, Morgan City, demanded $60 which was the amount unpaid on a $260 loan to the 23 year old male subject. The male subject began to enter his car when he overheard Matilda Amos shout "lets kill them………, lets kill them.” The male subject looked up and saw Trayon Boatner, age 17, of 3023 Highway 1, Labadieville, standing in front of his car with a revolver in his hand. He put the car in reverse and tried to speed away and Trayon Boatner began firing his weapon and struck the car 5 times. The male subject was able to get out of the vehicle and escape un-harmed. Deputies searched the area but were unable to locate Trayon Boatner who fled on foot.
Matlida Q. Amos was arrested and charged with Inciting a Felony. She is currently being held at the Assumption Parish Detention Center and no bond has been set as of the time of this release. Trayon Boatner is wanted for Aggravated Assault with a Firearm. No photo of the subject is available at this time. He is described as a black male, 6 feet tall with a slim to medium build and has hair dreadlocks.
