On August 17, 2011, the Assumption Parish Sheriff's Office received a call from Sharron Greenfield, who resides in Missouri. She told detectives that her husband who lived and worked in Assumption Parish has not been heard from in several days. She explained that on August 11, 2011 she spoke with him and he stated that he was taking the weekend off to go camping and fishing. She nor his employer has heard nor seen him since.
The husband is named Jason J. Greenfield (W/M, age 34) and he his 5ft 6in tall weighing near 300lbs. He has light brown hair and hazel eyes. He resides at 228 Jamie Ct in the Bayou L'Ourse Community. He also has tattoos on his forearms one being a Cobra head and on the other two pistols crossing in flames. He is known to drive a 1984 Ford Ranger blue in color with Louisiana license plate W951646. The truck has damage to the passenger door and also has primer paint spots around the vehicle.
Detectives spoke with Greenfield's neighbors and they confirm that they last saw Greenfield later in the week cutting his grass and they have not seen him or his truck since.
Greenfield is a truck driver for Cutrera Trucking Company. His employer states that Greenfield was a great worker and on the prior week made the comment that he was taking off the weekend for his birthday to go fishing. Greenfield indicated to his employer that he may go fishing. He said he was considering the coastal areas of Cocodrie, Venice or Fourchon. Greenfield has no boat and intended to camp in a pop up tent.
