On August 17, 2011 Assumption Parish Sheriff's Office received a call from Sharron Greenfield, who resides in Missouri. She told detectives that her husband, Jason Greenfield, who lived in Bayou L'Ourse has not been heard from in several days. Detectives were initially told that Jason was supposed to be going fishing somewhere in the Fourchon, Cocodrie, Venice or Grand Isle areas. Detectives began their investigations by notifying many local, state and federal agencies to ask for their assistance in locating Jason Greenfield.
After many days and hours of investigation detectives were able to track Jason to Pine Knott, Kentucky where he was alive and well.
We would like to thank Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office, Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office, St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office, Grand Isle Police Department, Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries, Greater Lafourche Port Commission, United States Coast Guard, I.C.E.
