Round Up of Indicted Drug Suspects Wanted for Distribution of Controlled Dangerous Substances Executed in Assumption Parish---Operation "Should Have Got a Real Job" - Thursday, March 8, 2012
Early yesterday morning, Narcotics Agents began executing warrants in conjunction with a 8 month undercover operation named Operation "Should Have Got a Real Job”. The investigation’s focus was to target street level and mid-level dealers of controlled dangerous substances and was a follow up investigation to a roundup made during January 2011 named "Operation Get a Real Job”. The cases involved undercover buys of various prescription pills (Lortabs, Oxycodone, Lorcet, and Morphine), crack cocaine and marijuana throughout Assumption Parish. These investigations and arrests were made with the team efforts of the following law enforcement agencies: Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Narcotics Task Force, Louisiana State Police, St. James Parish Sheriff’s Office, West Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office, and Morgan City Police Department. As well, these distribution cases were presented to an Assumption Parish Grand Jury by the Office of District Attorney Ricky Babin and bills of indictments have been signed charging each of the respective defendants for distribution of respective controlled dangerous substances.
