Attempted Abduction of a Teen From Bayou L'Ourse - Wednesday, March 14, 2012

On March 13, 2012, Assumption Parish Dispatch Center received a call from a female stating that her 14 year old niece said that while she was walking from a Bayou L’Ourse convenience store located at the corner of Highway 398 and Highway 663, a Hispanic couple attempted to get her into their vehicle. As she was walking along Highway 663, a Hispanic male and female pulled up on her side and asked her to get into their vehicle. They continued to follow her and later turned off Highway 398 onto Murial Street where the 14 year old lives. She ignored them and eventually took off running and made it home safely. The vehicle then left in an unknown direction of travel. She described the vehicle as a white mustang with a black bug guard on the vehicle. She said the Hispanic couple appears to be their 20’s. Detectives are currently treating this case as an attempted kidnapping at this time.
