RECALL OF WARRANT ON BRUCE WAYNE SCOTT—NO LONGER WANTED IN ASSUMPTION PARISH AS IT RELATES TO OPERATION “SHOULD HAVE GOT A REAL JOB” - Thursday, March 15, 2012

It was confirmed this morning, that an undercover Narcotics Agent made a mistaken identity of a subject who was named Bruce Wayne Scott. He was originally suspected of Distributing Lortab after an undercover agent made a hand to hand buy with a subject. This transaction was captured on video surveillance. Mr. Scott, who has not been arrested, was indicted by a grand jury earlier this month. After meeting with Mr. Scott and his attorney, we have decided that this warrant will not be executed as Agents have confirmed the identity of another Bruce Wayne (first and middle name) as the actual suspect. At this time we are not prepared to issue the full name of the suspect until an arrest warrant is signed.

Bruce Wayne Scott has no criminal history and is a hard working individual who is very involved in his community. Our office is satisfied with the newly developed information which clears Mr. Scott with any wrongdoing. The Assumption Parish Sheriff has offered a sincere apology to him for this mistaken identity.
