Search Warrant Reveals "Shake and Bake" Meth Lab - Thursday, April 5, 2012

On April 4, 2011, just after midnight, Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Narcotics Task Force with the assistance of Louisiana State Police Narcotics Division conducted a search warrant at a residence located at 176 Highway 1011 near Labadieville. During the search, numerous items which were located are consistent with the manufacturing of a crystal meth lab in what is known as a "shake and bake” meth lab.

Neil J. Templet, age 34, of 186 Highway 1011, Napoleonville, was arrested and booked on the following charges: Creation or operation of a Clandestine Laboratory, 2 Counts of Possession of Schedule I Controlled Dangerous Substances {marijuana and psilocybin (mushrooms)}, 2 counts of Possession of Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substances (crystal meth and adderall) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Templet’s Bond was set at $101, 446 and he has since bonded out.

Ryan P. Simoneaux, age 31, of 2765 Highway 308, Labadieville, was also arrested and booked with Operation of a Clandestine Laboratory and his bond was set at $50,000 and is still incarcerated at the Assumption Parish Detention Center.

A 6 month pregnant female present at the residence, Cherie Coco Martinez, age 37, of 2765 Highway 308, Labadieville, was issued a misdemeanor summons of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
