Labadieville Man Wanted For Aggravated Burglary and Resisting An Officer By Flight - Wednesday, August 1, 2012

Sheriff Mike Waguespack reports that on the morning of Wednesday, August 1, 2012, a 27 year old woman entered a store in the 2700 block of Hwy 1 in Labadieville. After shopping she returned to her car and discovered black male subject seated inside and going through her belongings. When she approached her car the man exited and pushed her. The woman then reentered the store notified the Sheriff’s Office.

Within minutes the first deputy arrived and was directed to a man who was exiting the store. When the deputy called out to the man, he immediately fled across the Labadieville Bridge and into a cane field in the 2700 block of Hwy 308, near Violet Street.

Several deputies responded and searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect.

As a result of the investigation into this matter detectives have obtained judicial arrest warrants for EMANUEL BRITTON B/M/33, of 179 VIOLET STREET LABADIEVILLE, LA.
