On September 29, 2012, the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s
Office was called to the scene of a residential burglary in the Landry
Subdivision of Pierre Part. When
deputies arrived they found the front door to be forced in and the inside of
the residence in total disarray. The
thieves located a safe in the residence and attempted break into it. The
subjects eventually made away with a game console, numerous other items which
included some collectible gold coins and several alcoholic beverages. The case was immediately turned over to the
detectives division. Detectives were
able to produce and question several possible suspects. On October 4th the first of two
arrests for the Burglary were made. The
second suspect turned himself in today. Both subjects gave Detectives a complete
confession of their involvement. It is
believed that the suspects may have disposed of the
stolen property before their arrest.
Detectives also arrested a third person who is accused of helping them
dispose of the stolen property.
Sheriff Waguespack asks that if you have any additional
