On April 30, 2013, just before 11 p.m., the Assumption Parish Sheriff's Office responded to a burglary in progress at a residence on the 4800 block of Highway 308 in Napoleonville. The owner of the residence advised deputies that he had left his residence for approximately 45 minutes and received a call from a neighbor who saw someone pacing back and forth in the driveway. Upon his arrival back at the residence, he observed a flash of light inside the residence. After exiting his vehicle, he observed two subjects running from the residence. Minutes later, Deputies found a reported stolen money pouch and later located the suspect hiding in a nearby paper recycle bin. The suspect was transported to the Criminal Investigative Division for questioning where he later admitted to his involvement along with a 15 year old in the burglary and theft of a coin pouch and push lawn mower.
