Pierre Part Man Arrested For Operating Without State Alcohol Permit - Saturday, January 4, 2014

An ongoing, joint investigation between the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office and Louisiana Office of Alcohol & Tobacco Control (ATC) has resulted in an additional arrest following the arrest of Trey M. Hebert who was charged with 1 count of second degree battery resulting from an altercation that occurred at T-Herms Lakeview Inn on January 1, 2014 as noted in a previously send news release on January 2, 2014.

On Friday, January 3, 2014, Herman "T-Herm” Cavalier, age 62, of 123-A Substation Road, Pierre Part, Louisiana, was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center and charged with 2 counts of operating without a State Alcohol Beverage Permit. His bond has not yet been set as of the time of this release.

Witness accounts confirm T-Herms Lakeview Inn Bar was in operation on December 21, 2013 and December 31, 2013. According to the ATC permitting system, the business’s State Alcohol Beverage permit had expired on November 30, 2013. Additionally, on December 26, 2013 an ATC agent contacted the owner’s wife in reference to the bars state permit being delinquent. She stated "they would not be renewing the state alcohol permit for the location” and as a result ATC closed the State Alcohol permit for T-Herms Lakeview Inn.

This is still an ongoing investigation. Should you have any information concerning this case, please contact the Criminal Investigative Division at 985-526-1627 or APSO Communications Division at 985-369-2912.
