BAYOU CORNE --- Sheriff Mike Waguespack
reports that on Thursday, August 28th, 2014 a complaint was filed
with the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office of a burglary and theft at 117
Bayou Corne Street, Belle Rose. The
owner of the residence had evacuated from her home almost two years ago due to
the sinkhole. Several air conditioners,
cement benches and other miscellaneous items were taken. An investigation was initiated by the
Criminal Investigation Division. Billy
Rodrigue, W/M age 40 of 118 Gerald Street, Pierre Part and Nicole Gros, W/F age
34 of 118 Gerald Street, Pierre Part were interviewed as suspects.
Billy Rodrigue was booked in the Assumption Parish Detention
Center on September 5th, 2014 for LA RS 14:62 Simple Burglary, and
LA RS14:67 Theft over $500. Nicole Gros
was booked in the Assumption Parish Detention Center on September 5th,
2014 for LA RS 14:67 Theft over $500, LA RS 14:67 Theft under $300, and LA RS
14:72 Forgery. The bond for Billy
Rodrigue has been set at $6,000 and he has bonded out as of the time of this
release. The bond for Nicole Gros has
been set at $5,683 and she has not bonded out as of the time of this release.
