NAPOLEONVILLE --- Sheriff Mike Waguespack reports that on Sunday, October 26th, 2014 at approximately 9:45pm, Assumption Parish Dispatch received a call from a clerk at the Popingo’s Convenience Store located on Highway 1 in the village of Napoleonville stating that they had just been robbed at gunpoint. The suspect, described as a black male wearing a hooded jacket, with a bandana around his face along with a ski mask, fled on foot after taking several hundred dollars from the registers. The investigation led to a warrant being issued for Rodney P. Rhodes, II, B/M age 21 of 5974 Highway 308, Paincourtville, La.
Rodney P. Rhodes, II, was booked in the Assumption Parish Detention Center on October 28th, 2014 for LRS 14:64.3 Armed Robbery with a Firearm (Felony). His bond has not been set and he is still in custody as of the time of this release.
