Waguespack reports that on Wednesday, March 4th, 2015 at approximately
7:30am, Assumption Parish Dispatch received a call about a suspicious black
truck and a person walking around camps located at the end of Hwy 402. Arriving deputies attempted to stop the
vehicle as it was leaving but refused to comply. During the chase, the driver crossed the
center divider in a four lane section of Hwy 1 and traveled in the opposing
lane of traffic to avoid being boxed in by deputies. The pursuit lasted approximately 30 minutes
before the driver wrecked his truck into a cane field off of Hwy 1010 just
south of Hwy 400. Tyler England, B/M,
age 29, of 143 Hwy 1011, Labadieville was taken into custody at that time after
a brief chase into the cane field.
Tyler England was booked in the Assumption Parish Detention
Center on March 4th, 2015 for LRS 14:108 Resisting an officer and
LRS 14:108.1 Aggravated Flight from an officer.
Additional charges may be pending following an investigation by the
Assumption Parish Detectives division. His
bond has not been set at this time and he is still in custody as of the time of
