Waguespack reports that on Wednesday, March 18th, 2015 at approximately
3:00pm, Assumption Parish Dispatch received a call from an individual at 155
Pecan Street who stated that two of his horses had been killed. Arriving deputies discovered one of the
horses was deceased with multiple gunshot wounds and the second horse was still
alive but had also suffered multiple gunshot wounds. Detectives were called to the scene and
processed it for evidence. The owner’s
veterinarian was called to the scene to examine the second horse. He determined that due to the extent of the
injuries, the horse had to be put down.
A reward may be offered for information that leads to the arrest and
conviction of the individual(s) involved.
Anyone that may have seen any suspicious activity between the hours of 12pm
and 3pm Wednesday afternoon in the area of Pecan Street, Napoleonville are
asked to contact the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office.
This is an ongoing investigation and Detective Sergeant Ryan
Simmons is the lead investigator on this case.
