FOUR-WHEELER THEFT - Monday, April 20, 2015

PAINCOURTVILLE --- Sheriff Mike Waguespack reports that on Monday, April 13th, 2015 at approximately 3:00am, Assumption Parish Dispatch received a complaint about a four-wheeler having just been stolen. The homeowner had awoken in the early morning hours and heard someone trying to start his four-wheeler in the driveway. He observed a young black male through a window who looked at him several times while attempting to start the four-wheeler. Detectives were able to identify the suspect as Rodney Rhodes, II and were able to secure a warrant for his arrest.

Rodney Rhodes, B/M, age 22 of 5974 Hwy 308, Paincourtville, was currently out on bond. He had been arrested in October 2014 for Armed Robbery, Simple Escape and Possession of Stolen things. His bond was reduced in January and he subsequently bonded out two days later.

Rodney Paul Rhodes, II was booked in the Assumption Parish Detention Center on April 17th, 2015 for LRS 14:67 Theft (Felony). His bond has not been set and he is still in custody as of the time of this release.
