BELLE RIVER--- Sheriff Mike Waguespack
reports that on Thursday, July 9th, 2015 at approximately 1:45pm, Assumption
Parish Dispatch received a call about a suspicious vehicle travelling up and
down the road in "The Oaks” subdivision in the Belle River area. Neighbors in the area notified responding
deputies of a partially open door at a residence in the 600 block of Michel Rd.
Upon entering the camp deputies located
Garrett Dugas, W/M, age 25 of 1014 Bayou Drive, Pierre Part, hiding behind the
door inside the bathroom. He was taken
into custody. The driver of the
suspicious vehicle was located a short time later. Tanner Rivere, W/M, age 23 of 103 Randall
Street, Pierre Part was interviewed by detectives and was then taken into
Garrett Dugas was booked in the Assumption Parish Detention
Center on July 9th, 2015 for LRS 14:62.2 Simple Burglary of an
Inhabited Dwelling. His bond has been
set at $50,000 and he is still in custody as of the time of this release. Tanner Rivere was booked in the Assumption
