CREDIT CARD FRAUD - Monday, November 23, 2015

Sheriff Mike Waguespack reports that on November 3rd, 2015 Assumption Parish detectives were contacted by an individual about being the victim of an online scam. It was learned that Latisha Landry, W/F, age 32, of 107 Cross La Rue Street, Pierre Part was operating an online store called Elite Boutique through Facebook. Individuals would make a purchase through the online store but never receive their items. Investigation has so far revealed victims from six states who made purchases that were never delivered. A warrant was issued for her arrest on 19 November 2015 and she was arrested on November 22nd. Additional victims and charges may be forthcoming.

Latisha Landry was booked in the Assumption Parish Detention Center on November 22nd, 2015 for 49 counts of LRS 14:67.11 Credit Card Fraud. Her bond has not been set at this time and she is still in custody as of the time of this release.
