Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the
arrest of Kenny Lacy, age 37, of 184 Highway 401, Napoleonville, LA, after the
Sheriff’s Narcotics Division executed a search warrant at this home.
Once inside the home, deputies and narcotics agents
located a marijuana growing operation complete with watering capabilities,
lighting system for heat, fan and humidity monitor. The system appeared to be
operating on a timer.
Deputies seized several maturing marijuana plants
with different cultivating systems, potting soil and other liquid agents used
to accelerate the growing process.
Deputies seized a 12 gauge Mossberg shotgun, bag of marijuana, metal
grinder containing marijuana residue and other assorted paraphernalia.
Lacy was not immediately arrested as he was
transported to Thibodaux Regional Hospital due to a medical condition.
Lacy was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention
Center on July 26, 2016 on the following charges:
*Cultivation
of Marijuana (1 Count, Felony)
*Simple
Possession of Marijuana (Misdemeanor)
*Possession
of Drug Paraphernalia (Misdemeanor)
*Possession
of a Firearm in the Presence of Controlled Dangerous Substances (Felony)
