BAYOU L’OURSE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Chance M. Landry, 27, of 117 Pond Drive, Bayou L’Ourse, LA, on narcotics related charges following a traffic stop on LA 662 at U.S. 90 in Bayou L’Ourse on Tuesday.
Narcotics agents working the area observed the vehicle Landry occupied commit a traffic offense. Agents conducted a traffic stop and proceeded to interview Landry. As a result of that interview, narcotics agents seized quantities of alprazolam, methamphetamine, marijuana and assorted drug paraphernalia.
Landry was placed under arrest, transported to the parish detention facility and booked on charges of:
*Possession of Alprazolam with Intent to Distribute
*Possession of Meth-Amphetamine with Intent to Distribute
*Possession of Marijuana – 2nd Offense (Felony)
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Landry is being held in lieu of a $35,000 bond.
Louisiana Department of Probation and Parole has placed a hold on Landry for a probation violation.
