BAYOU L’OURSE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Terry A. Braud, 60, of 145 Al Joseph Street, Thibodaux, LA, following a traffic stop early Wednesday morning on LA 662.

A uniformed patrol officer observed the vehicle Braud was driving commit a traffic violation. The patrol deputy executed a stop of the vehicle and interviewed the driver. Based on that interview, deputies and a K-9 officer searched Braud’s person as well as the vehicle.

As a result of those searches, deputies seized drug paraphernalia and a quantity of meth-amphetamine.

Braud was placed under arrest, transported to the Assumption Parish Detention Center and booked on charges of:

*Speeding

*Driving Under Suspension

*Possession of Meth-Amphetamine

*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (3^rd Offense Felony)

Braud was jailed pending a bond hearing.
