ARREST – RODERICK L. JOHNSON
NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland
Falcon reports the arrest of Roderick L. Johnson, 33, of 3372 Back Marais Road,
Napoleonville, LA, on multiple drug charges related to a Wednesday night
traffic stop south of Napoleonville.
Narcotics agents executed a stop on a vehicle after
observing the vehicle commit a traffic violation. Agents interviewed the driver identified as
Johnson and based on that interview and other factors, a canine unit conducted
an open-air sniff of the suspect vehicle and alerted for the presence of
Agents searched the vehicle which yielded quantities
of MDMA and marijuana.
Johnson was placed under arrest, transported to the
Assumption Parish Detention Center and booked on counts of:
on Roadway Laned for Traffic
of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute
Johnson has served a prison sentence for manslaughter
and was arrested in November of 2016 with a firearm.
Johnson was jailed pending a bond hearing.
