SUBJECT: DOMESTIC RELATED ARREST –
LIONEL MITCHELL
LABADIEVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon
reports the arrest of Lionel Mitchell, 54, of 121 Highway 1014, Labadieville,
LA, on charges related to a domestic incident.
On Wednesday, deputies responded to a domestic
disturbance near Labadieville. Deputies learned that Mitchell was under a protective
order forbidding him to be near the address in question. When deputies approached Mitchell, he fled on
foot, but was apprehended a short time later near Labadieville.
Deputies learned during the investigation that
Mitchell had been armed with a cane knife during the original incident.
Mitchell was arrested, transported to the Assumption
Parish Detention Center and booked on charges of:
*Violation
of a Protective Order (Felony)
*Resisting
an Officer
*Aggravated
Assault with a Dangerous Weapon
Mitchell was incarcerated pending a bond hearing. Mitchell had been arrested three times in 2016
for violation of a protected order.
