Narcotics Arrest - Wednesday, May 31, 2017

SUBJECT:      NARCOTICS - THOMAS R. COOK

 

PLATTENVILLE Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Thomas R. Cook, 33, of 109 Park Street, Thibodaux, LA, on numerous charges related to an incident in Plattenville on Monday.

Narcotics officers responded to a complaint of suspicious activity involving a male subject trying to use multiple access financial cards at two local businesses.

Responding agents located and confronted the suspect identified as Cook and proceeded to interview him.  Based on that interview, Cook was searched for officer safety.  That search produced a quantity of illegal narcotics.  Cook was placed under arrest, transported to the Assumption Parish Detention Center and booked on counts of:

            *Prohibited Acts Schedule IV

            *Possession with Intent to Distribute Klonopin (Klonazepam)

            *Possession of Meth-Amphetamine

All three charges are classified as felonies.  Cook was incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
