NAPOLEONVILLE – Sheriff Leland Falcon’s Summer
Recreation Program is well into its first month and attendance has been great.
This year, Sheriff Falcon, staff and community
volunteers have organized and implemented the parish wide summer basketball
program. There has been a tremendous
interest in the program which is being housed at the Napoleonville Middle
School gym.
The program started on June 5th and games
are played Monday thru Thursday evenings.
Three games are played each night and activities begin at 6 p.m. There is a total of 17 teams involved. Age groups are from 6-14 years old. The program will finish on July 27th.
Sheriff Leland Falcon would like to express
appreciation to the Assumption Parish School Board for use of their facilities
and to the Assumption Parish Police Jury for their contributions and to the
many volunteers who are giving up their time for this worthy cause.
