ARREST – DAVID R. HAMMOND, JR.
LABADIEVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon
reports the arrest of David Russell Hammond, Jr., 39, of 317 Maple Street,
Labadieville, LA, on drug related charges following a traffic stop near
Labadieville early Friday morning.
Deputies and Narcotics agents observed a vehicle near
Labadieville commit a traffic violation.
The vehicle was stopped and agents interviewed the
driver, identified as David Russell Hammond, Jr. As a result of that interview, a search of
Hammond’s truck was conducted. Agents
and deputies seized a substantial quantity of meth-amphetamine, cocaine and
Hammond was arrested transported to the Assumption
Parish Detention Center and booked on charges of:
with Intent to Distribute Meth-Amphetamine
of Crack Cocaine
of Drug Paraphernalia
Carry of Weapons in the Presence of Controlled Dangerous Substances
Possession of Controlled Dangerous Substances in the Presence of Persons Under
the Age of 17
Movements and Required Signals
Hammond was incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
