Traffic Stop / Narcotics Arrests - Tuesday, July 11, 2017

SUBJECT:      TRAFFIC STOP / NARCOTICS ARRESTS

TAIT MICHAEL GUIDRY and CHANCE TYLER KING

 

BAYOU L’OURSE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Tait Michael Guidry, 24, 167 Texas Gulf Road, Bourg, LA and Chance Tyler King, 21, 422 Lake Long Drive, Houma, LA, on drug related charges following a traffic stop late Friday.

Uniformed patrol deputies and narcotics agents observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation on LA 662.  Deputies executed a traffic stop and identified the driver as Tait Guidry.  Deputies interviewed Guidry as well as the passenger identified as Chance Tyler King.

At some point, a K-9 unit arrived and conducted an open-air sniff of the vehicle and alerted to the presence of illegal narcotics.  The vehicle was searched and a quantity of meth-amphetamine and Xanax was seized.

Both Guidry and King were placed under arrest and transported to the Assumption Parish Detention Center.  Both were booked on counts of:        

            *Possession with Intent to Distribute Meth-Amphetamine

            *Possession of Xanax

Guidry was also booked on a charge of:

            *Driving on Roadway Laned for Traffic

Both were also booked on fugitive warrants

They were incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
