HOLMES and CRAIG JEROME HERBERT, JR.
BERTRANDVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland
Falcon reports the arrests of Terrence J. Holmes, 27, of 146 Jones Street,
Bertrandville, LA and Craig Jerome Herbert, Jr., of 211 Lucky Street,
Plattenville, LA, on drug related charges following an investigation by sheriff’s
deputies on Saturday.
At approximately 12 noon on Saturday, deputies
responded to a complaint of a suspicious vehicle parked at a vacant residence
on Southall Street in Bertrandville.
Upon arrival, deputies observed two vehicles parked at the residence. Deputies proceeded to interview the drivers
of both vehicles, identified as Holmes and Herbert.
As a result of those interviews, deputies requested
the presence of a K-9 unit. The K-9
conducted an open-air sniff of both vehicles and alerted to the presence of
illegal narcotics on both vehicles.
Deputies then searched both vehicles.
During the search of Herbert’s vehicle, officers located quantities of
Xanax, marijuana, meth-amphetamine and assorted paraphernalia. Herbert was arrested, transported to the
Assumption Parish Detention Center where he was booked on counts of:
of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute
of Drug Paraphernalia
Warrant from Ascension Parish
During the search of the vehicle occupied by Holmes,
Deputies recovered a quantity of schedule II controlled dangerous
substances. Holmes was placed under

Holmes also faces a parole violation for a previous
Herbert was incarcerated in lieu of $122,500 bond.
Bond on Holmes was set at $25,000 for the narcotics
charge but he is being held without bond for the parole violation.
