BAYOU L’OURSE– Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon
reports the arrest of Jonathan Davenport, 31, of 12016 South Blackjack Road,
Woodlawn, TX, on felony warrants related to a home invasion on June 11, 2013.
On that day, detectives responded to a complaint in
Bayou L’Ourse. A resident entered her
home and a subject later identified as Davenport was in the home going through
her belongings. Davenport is alleged to
have stolen a vehicle from the residence and left the area. The suspect used the victim’s credit cards to
make purchases of gasoline.
It was later determined that the suspect had stolen a
truck in Calcasieu Parish. Both vehicles
were recovered.
Detectives obtained DNA samples and the State Police
Crime Lab obtained a match and that ultimately identified Davenport as the
suspect.
Davenport fled the area, believed to have returned to
Texas. Detectives filed arrest warrants
back in 2013 charging Davenport with the crimes.

the Sheriff’s Office to pay a fine and was then transported to the Assumption
Parish Detention Center. He was booked
