SUSPECTS: KASEY
THOMAS, ADDIE BREAUX, AUSTIN ALBARADO and TERRIE GANEL
PIERRE PART – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon
reports the arrests of Terrie Ganel, 50, of 125 Mam & Pap Drive, Pierre
Part, LA, on charges related to a theft from a person with certain
infirmities. Ganel was arrested on
Thursday
Additionally, warrants were obtained for the arrests
of Kasey Thomas, 32, of 111 Rue de Kajun, Pierre Part, LA, Austin Albarado, 25,
of 111 Rue de Kajun, Pierre Part, LA and Addie Breaux, 35, of 321 Shell Beach
Road, Pierre Part, LA.
On July 16, 2017, Sheriff’s personnel responded to a
Bayou Drive residence in Pierre Part in reference to a theft.
The victim reported that multiple items including a
bank card and cash were stolen from inside the residence while the
aforementioned individuals were present.
Investigators learned that the victim had a physical infirmity that
prevented him from observing what was occurring.
Through investigation, Thomas, Breaux, Albarado and
Ganel were identified as suspects and were subsequently located by the Morgan
City Police Department at a motel in that area.
The suspects were in possession of some of the stolen items.
Investigators determined that Thomas committed the
theft while Albarado and Breaux distracted the victim.
Ganel is accused of transporting the other suspects to
the victim’s residence with full knowledge of their intent to commit the crime
and actually observing Thomas perpetrate the theft. Ganel did nothing to stop the crime from
occurring and in furtherance, drove the other suspects to the Morgan City motel.
Ganel was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention
Center on Thursday on:

Exploitation of Persons with Certain Infirmities (1 Count)
Thomas, Breaux, and Albarado are all in the Morgan
City Jail and will be booked in Assumption Parish upon release from Morgan
City.
Kasey Thomas is charged with:

of Persons with Certain Infirmities (1 Count)
Breaux and Albarado are charged with:
*Principal
to Exploitation of Persons with Certain Infirmities
Ganel remains jailed in lieu of $5,000 bond.
