Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon said today that
Captain Donnie Calamia spoke to the Assumption Parish High School freshman
class, the 5th thru 8th grade classes at Napoleonville
Middle School, this week on the advantage and danger of utilizing social
networking sites. The presentation covered topics relating to sexting, child
predators and sex offenders.
The course which was developed for children, is also
proving to be a useful tool to parents as well.
The presentation covered numerous social networking sites that children
are well acclimated to.
The event was well attended and very informative. Sheriff Falcon said to expect more of it.
