Fugitive Warrant Arrests - Tuesday, September 19, 2017

SUBJECT:      FUGITIVE WARRANT ARRESTS – MARTY J. LEONARD

ASSUMPTION – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports two unrelated arrest on fugitive warrants from other jurisdictions early Tuesday morning.

 

A patrol deputy in Pierre Part observed Marty J. Leonard at a business establishment on LA 70 shortly after midnight Tuesday.  The deputy verified through the communications division that there were outstanding warrants for the arrest of Marty J. Leonard, 29, of 63285 Rose Drive, Plaquemine, LA.  The warrants were fugitive warrants for Leonard’s arrest for failure to appear originating in St. Martin Parish on charges of theft and criminal trespass.

 

Leonard was transported to the Assumption Parish Detention Center, booked and incarcerated pending transfer to St. Martin Parish.

 

In the second arrest, Jeremy D. Williams, 30, of 332 Tigerville Lane, Belle Rose, La, was arrested at a Belle Rose address after deputies confirmed fugitive warrants for his arrest existed from Ascension, East Baton Rouge and St. James Parish.

 

Williams was transported to the Assumption Parish Detention Center where he was booked as follows:

*Ascension Parish – Williams was booked on a fugitive warrant for Failure to Appear on

  Charges of Speeding, No Driver’s License (2 Counts), Resisting an Officer             

            *East Baton Rouge Parish – fugitive warrant for Failure to Appear

            *St. James Parish – fugitive warrant for Failure to Appear on charges of Possession of

              Marijuana, Failure to Appear for trial status for Possession of Schedule II Narcotics,

              Failure to Appear on charges of Simple Battery and Disturbing the Peace

 

Williams was incarcerated and will be transferred to the appropriate jurisdictions.
