SUBJECT:      DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS – JERRY R. POE

 

ASSUMPTION – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Jerry R. Poe, 55, of 182 Elaine Street, Bayou L’Ourse, LA, on drug related counts following an investigative stop in the Bayou L’Ourse area on Tuesday.

Narcotics agents working a high drug area observed Poe and stopped him for identification and related legal purposes. Agents proceeded to interview Poe and that interview led to a search of his person for safety purposes.

As a result of that search, agents seized quantities of Amphetamine, Clonazepam and marijuana.

Poe was placed under arrest, transported to the Assumption Parish Detention Center and booked on counts of:

            *Possession of Clonazepam

            *Possession of Amphetamine with Intent to Distribute

            *Possession of Cannabinoids / Synthetic Marijuana

Poe was incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
