Simple Burglary - Thursday, October 12, 2017

SUBJECT:      SIMPLE BURGLARY (IMMOVABLE STRUCTURE) – BRIAN C. BELL

 

KLOTZVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Brian C. Bell, 37, of 277 Avondale Garden Road, Avondale, LA, on charges related to the burglary of a hurricane damaged home in 2011 near Klotzville, LA.

At that time, detectives responded to a complaint from a resident who indicated that she owned a home that was damaged in the 2011 hurricane.  The owner indicated that when she went to check on the home, she noticed that the entire electrical system had been compromised.

Upon investigation, detectives noted that all wiring and associated materials had been removed from the house.  Detectives did seize items and were able to pull fingerprints from those items.  Those fingerprints were identified as belonging to suspect, Brian Bell.

Warrants were issued for Bell’s arrest.  Bell was arrested on Wednesday in Terrebonne Parish.  He was transported to Assumption Parish where he was booked on a count of:

            *Simple Burglary

Bell remains incarcerated in the Assumption Parish Detention Center pending a bond hearing.

A detainer was placed on Bell for a probation violation.
