Communicating of False Information of Planned Arson - Thursday, November 2, 2017

SUBJECT:      COMMUNICATING OF FALSE INFORMATION OF PLANNED ARSON

ARMAND J. METREJEAN

 

PIERRE PART – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Armand J. Metrejean, 41, of 118 Derrick Street, Pierre Part, LA, on criminal charges related to a domestic situation on Wednesday afternoon.

Deputies responded to a complaint in which the caller indicated Metrejean had taken her automobile and refused to return it.  Arrangements were made for Metrejean to return the car while the deputy was present.

Metrejean arrived with the car and he became verbally abusive towards the complainant and the deputy.  At some point, Metrejean communicated that he would burn the complainant’s house down and made other threats of bodily injury.

Metrejean was arrested, transported to the Assumption Parish Detention Center and booked on counts of:

            *Communicating of False Information of a Planned Arson

            *Disturbing the Peace

Metrejean was incarcerated pending a bail hearing.
