BELLE ROSE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Kasey A. Carter, 29, of 139 Virginia Street, Belle Rose, LA and Adam Martin, 30 of 228 Daggs Street, Belle Rose, LA, on charges following a traffic stop early Thursday.

A patrol deputy on LA 308 near Paincourtville, LA, met up with a vehicle that committed a traffic violation.  The deputy initiated a traffic stop.  Upon doing so, the deputy noticed a child in the vehicle not properly restrained.  The deputy made contact with the driver, who was identified as Adam Martin.  Martin did not have a valid driver’s license.  Martin was issued citations for:

            *No Driver’s License

            *No Child Restraint

Additionally, the Deputy confirmed that Martin was wanted in Assumption Parish for failure to appear in court on a number of traffic related counts stemming from a prior traffic stop.  Martin was incarcerated and posted bond on Friday.

Kasey Carter was charged on outstanding warrants for failure to appear on charges of:

* Resisting an Officer

            *Driving Under Suspension

Carter was also booked on an outstanding warrant for Theft of a Motor Vehicle.
