Deputy Arrested for D.W.I. / Auto Crash - Wednesday, December 13, 2017

JOSEPH EDWARD REPP

 

GRAND BAYOU – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Joseph Edward Repp, 22, of 119 Oak Lane, Pierre Part, LA, following a one vehicle auto crash near Grand Bayou, LA this morning.

Repp was a uniformed patrol deputy for the past four months with the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office.

The Sheriff Office received a report of an auto crash at approximately 5 a.m.  A follow up investigation indicated that Repp, who was off duty and in his Sheriff’s Office assigned patrol unit, ran into a ditch.

Repp is accused of leaving the scene.  Sheriff Falcon indicates that Repp was apprehended and arrested a short time later.  Repp was transported to the Assumption Parish Detention Center where he was administered a breathalyzer test and registered .09.

Repp was booked on charges of:

            *D.W. I. (First Offense)

            *Careless Operation

            *Hit and Run

Repp was incarcerated pending a bond hearing.  Repp’s employment was immediately terminated.
