TO:                  ALL MEDIA OUTLETS
FROM:            SHERIFF LELAND FALCON
SUBJECT:      WATER PATROL ACTIVITIES

PIERRE PART – The Sheriff’s Office was busy on Saturday with parade traffic and a grounded boater.

The boat parade in Belle River was slightly delayed as low water levels have caused some issues when the bridge needs to be opened.

The parade went on without any problems.

Shortly prior to the parade, the water patrol responded to a call of a grounded boater near Bay Natchez.

With help from local fisherman, the boat was refloated.  No injuries were reported.
