BELLE RIVER – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports
the arrest of Kaleb Williams Smith, 17, of 1600 Maple Street, Morgan City, LA,
in connection with multiple burglaries in the Belle River area.
On October 17, 2017, Assumption Parish Sheriff’s
Deputies responded to multiple residential and vehicle burglaries in the Belle
Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Detectives with the
assistance of St. Martin and Bienville Parish Sheriff’s Investigators,
initiated an extensive and ongoing investigation and were able to identify at
least four suspects.
Community involvement, video surveillance, witness
interviews and assistance from other agencies led to the suspects’ identities.
Kaleb Williams Smith was identified as a suspect
leading to his arrest on Wednesday. Smith was booked into the Assumption Parish
Detention Center on charges of:
Burglary of an Inhabited Dwelling (4 Counts)
Burglary (2 Counts)
Smith awaits a bond hearing.
Krislyn Claire Vining, 23, of 1412 Sisters Landing,
Bayou Vista, LA and Tager Rosson, 20, of 13184 Ribbonwood Drive, Denham
Springs, LA, were previously arrested.
Detectives are searching for Austin Williams 18, of
313 Aristle Road, Bayou L’Ourse, LA, on multiple charges related to this case.
